The Melia Villa Gadea hotel is like no other hotel I have ever seen before, it is in a great location which overlooks the Mediterranean sea. It’s located in the beautiful quaint fishing village of Altea which is becoming very popular with tourists.
The garden is very attractive which has a great garden restaurant as well as the restaurant inside the hotel. The location is ideal for anyone wanting to relax because it is so quiet and peaceful. Many painters and artists flock to the area because of its stunning beauty. There are 143 double rooms ( check availability and pricing here ) which have either sea or mountain views, there are also 43 superior rooms which are larger and all have a sea room. 13 Junior Suites which have a separate lounge and a beautiful sea view. There are also 2 suites each of which with a sea view, and 1 presidential suite which has a Jacuzzi out on the terrace.
The Melia Villa Gadea Hotel also has plenty of leisure facilities including 3 large pools which all connect together throughout the gardens, the pool even has a great waterfall. The gardens have over 100 palm trees in them, which is stunning! There are also facilities to keep your children amused including a children’s club and playground. For you there’s a spa which has warm water, geysers, water beds, Turkish baths, hydro massage tubs, and mud wraps. If you’re into golf then there is a golf course very close to this hotel. All of the rooms have a bathroom equipped with a hydro massage bath, mirror, and infrared lamp to make sure you don’t get too cold when you get out of the bath. All rooms are air conditioned and have satellite color TV along with a telephone and mini bar. You can also get 24 hour room service to your room, which is great if you get hungry in the night!
The hotel is well suited for all of the major tourist attractions including terra miticia theme park, terra natura theme park, aqualandia water park, algar waterfalls, Alicante, guadalest castle, Altea historical centre. The design of the building itself was inspired by the typical hoses of the area, which makes it look even more beautiful.
The hotel offers a business centre which has access to the internet along with fax and photocopy services. They also offer currency exchange, car rental, laundry service, babysitting, souvenir store and car rental desk.
The hotel is located just 65km away from El Altet Airport, and it’s very easy to get there using the highways. A taxi is the next best way to get to the hotel if you don’t have a hire car. When arriving at the hotel you can check in after 4:00pm, and when leaving you should be out of your room before 12:00noon to give them time to clean it.
