For the past days our family has been following the really shocking images of the earthquake in Japan and the terrible destruction it did. Mother nature once again showed its tremendous and devastating side.<\/p>\n<p>At this moment of writing, the consequences, especially the damage to various nuclear power plants are not clear &#8211; but outlook is not really good.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>I did a quick look up and found <strong>63<\/strong> or our nearly 19000\u00a0 <strong>newsletter readers<\/strong> have an email address with the .jp (Japan) ending. <strong><br \/> Our thoughts are especially with you at this sad day.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I will keep this Alicante-Spain newsletter rather short, only to update you about recent articles written and questions I answered.<\/p>\n<h2>Where to Find A Cheap Holiday Home<\/h2>\n<p>New article answering a question we get nearly every day now &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.alicante-spain.com\/costa-blanca-holiday-villas-to-rent.html\">Where can I find a villa or holiday home to rent around the Costa Blanca?<\/a>&#8220;. I did my best to help you on this one, so it became a rather lengthy two page article titled\u00a0 <a class=\"act\" href=\"https:\/\/www.alicante-spain.com\/costa-blanca-holiday-villas-to-rent.html\">Finding Costa Blanca Villas to Rent here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>New Terminal At Alicante Airport<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alicante-spain.com\/alicante_airport.html\">Alicante airport<\/a> is getting an additional new terminal building. It will be inaugurated on the 23. March and will be start and run on 24.March 2011 . That is the short news. &#8211; Now the confusing news about it: I went out to the airport last Saturday (to pick up my wife), so I asked for further details on the Alicante airport information desk. So far, nobody seems to know anything! The two friendly ladies could not say if the old two terminals will stay operational, if we are going to get new bus transport lines with the new terminal. They could also give out NO INFORMATION on which flights will fly into which terminal after 24.March. To sum it up: Nobody seems to know anything!<\/p>\n<p><em>This is not the first time that I find the information desk at Alicante airport not very helpful \ud83d\ude25 (to say the least).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The best thing to do is to wait until they open the new terminal at Alicante airport and I will than just drive down and have a look around to see what they came up with. So please give me a couple of days to get all the facts about the new terminal to you.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>New Interactive Maps<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Finally, I added several maps to the site. The interactive maps allow you to zoom in and move around the city or area you are looking for. Easily printable they wont replace a good printed map, but they can be a good starting point.
