We hope to answer the often heared question: How to get from Alicante airport to Urbanisation of La Marina, to Guardamar del Segura and down to the Playa Flamenca.<\/p>\n

About 32 km south of the airport in Alicante lies Guardamar del Segura<\/a>, the beautiful pearl and my favourite ” world capital of dunes” :).  With its large pine forest just next to the dunes, it is soooo different from anything you are going to see around the Costa Blanca, that I would definitely recommend visiting it.<\/p>\n

Landing at Alicante airport<\/a> you have a variety of different options to get to Guardamar, which we list in the following. Some services – especially direct bus services – are running only during some months in summer. We therefore show you alternative ways of getting to this “must see” area at the Costa Blanca.<\/p>\n

Since the Costaazul website is really confusing and not very often updated, I called them up and got the following additional information on this bus service:<\/p>\n

– The bus is only running from 1.July to 31.August. Other months of the year, they do NOT offer any bus service from the airport to Guardamar, Urb. La Marina or Playa Flamenca.<\/p>\n

– This bus does NOT stop in Torrevieja. I repeat, passing through Torrevieja on its way down to Playa Flamenca – this bus service does NOT STOP in Torrevieja !<\/p>\n

– To get to Torrevieja – use the direct Alicante airport bus to Torrevieja<\/a> instead, more info here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

– Ticket pricing:<\/p>\n

One way bus ticket from Alicante Airport to Guardamar del Segura is EUR 4,29 . ( yes, I heard it right, it is 4,29 EUR. Not 4,30 – no – it is 4, 29 EUR  – funny people, those bus guys  \ud83d\ude06 )<\/p>\n

The one way bus ticket from the airport in Alicante to Playa Flamenca is EUR 6,90 .<\/p>\n

The price for a return ticket is double the price of a one way ticket. ( so, no discount).<\/p>\n

Ticket can easily be bought directly with the bus driver – no prebooking possible, since there site is not offering any ticket sales on the web.<\/p>\n

The bus leaves just outside departure area at Level 2 of the terminal building at Alicante airport<\/a>. Bus stop is the Costa Azul bus stop, where the direct bus to Torrevieja is leaving too. You can not miss it, there are only a few bus stops outside the departure area.<\/p>\n

Bus from Alicante airport to Guardamar del Segura and Playa Flamenca via Torrevieja downtown Bus station<\/h2>\n

With the direct bus line to Guardamar del Segura and Playa Flamenca only running 2 months a year, you are left with NO DIRECT bus transportation options the rest of the time.<\/p>\n

Your easiest way to use a bus to both destinations, is via the the central bus station in Torrevieja. Your travel itinerary would look something like this:<\/p>\n

1. Take the direct bus from Alicante airport to Torrevieja<\/a> <\/p>\n

2a. Switch to a local bus from Torrevieja’s bus station to Guardamar del Segura and La Marina ( with Costa Azul bus company – Torrevieja\/Alicante route here<\/a> )<\/p>\n

or<\/p>\n

2b. Take the local bus from Torrevieja bus station to Zenia and Playa Flamenca ( run by Costa Azul bus company – Torrevieja\/Mil Palmeras route here<\/a> )<\/p>\n

The tickets for a one way trip will add up to approx. 15 EUR .<\/p>\n

Taxi from Alicante airport to Guardamar , Urb. La Marina and Playa Flamenca<\/h2>\n

If you are not travelling alone, the taxi might well be the smartest option to get to Guardamar , Urbanisation La Marina and Playa Flamenca from Alicante airport. Especially outside the months of July and August, where no cheap local direct bus line is available, the taxi would be among my prefered methods of travel.<\/p>\n

Taxis allow for up to 4 passengers and will cost you approx. EUR 35-40 to Guardamar del Segura from the airport in Alicante.<\/p>\n

Taking the cab from Alicante airport to Playa Flamenca ( which is about a 70 minute ride ) will cost you somewhere around EUR 60-70 .<\/p>\n

Taxis are easy to get directly outside arrival area at the airport. <\/p>\n

Private Transfer from Alicante to Playa Flamenca , Guardamar del Segura or Urbanisation La Marina<\/h2>\n

Various private bus shuttle companies offer transfer services from the airport to most cities along the Costa Blanca.<\/p>\n

Make sure you check shuttle services e.g.  resorthoppa<\/a><\/strong> or shuttledirect before you decide and compare their pricing with all other transport options to Guardamar and Playa Flamenca from the airport in Ailcante.<\/p>\n

Very often pricing for shuttle buses is close to taxi fares, except for group rates if a mini-bus for more than 4 people can be used.<\/p>\n

Rent a Car at Alicante Airport For Guardamar del Segura Holiday Time<\/h2>\n

To hire a car is usually not what comes to mind when thinking about a transfer from the airport to your holiday destination. But at least you should have a look and perhaps rethink.<\/p>\n

Depending on the time of the year, renting a car for a week could be cheaper than a return transport of a family or a group of various people. Have a look first a pricing and perhaps its worth considering renting a car for your holidays in Guardamar or Playa Flamenca.<\/p>\n
