What fiestas or parties are in Benidorm?
Hilda, who wants to have a good time, has wondered when the fiesta in Benidorm is? When are some of the dates for these fiestas in Benidorm? Anywhere around the world is time for fiestas, and in Benidorm you have unlimited fun.
- January - Nativity scenes right on the streets, the great Kings Day parade on January 5th, and if you have children you can fnd out how to get the Three Wisemen to give your child a gift! Fireworks at night on the beach.
- February - Carnaval time! Don´t worry about bringing a costume, there are many inexpensive toyshops that can do you up in a minute.
- March - “Las Fallas”. Valencia is actually the main city for this impressive fiesta, but Benidorm holds it own, too! This is a fiesta which starts on March 15th and goes 24 hours until March 19th. There are huge, and I mean huge carton figures which look like live cartoons depicting sport, political and TV personalities. On St. Joseph´s Day, March 19th, after a tremendous firework display, the monuments are burnt to the ground.
- April - Easter is usually in this month. The Holy parades with big floats carrying the images of Jesus and Mary and the devotion of the people makes tears come to your eyes.
- May - Spring is found everywhere, especially with many streets decorated with beautiful crosses made of flowers showing their deep love for Mother Mary.
- June - Pilgrimage to the shrine of the Corpus Christi. I don´t know how they do it, but the Spanish always find a reason for gathering together, sharing unique experiences and good food all out in the open air.

July - On the 25th, you have the patron saint of Benidorm called St. James. so you can be sure there´s special activities going on.
- August - There are a lot of shows and cultural activities at the park called LÁiguera and at the Auditorium `Julio Iglesias´.
- September - This month is usually dedicated to the wine harvest and at the regional house of Castilla La Mancha (best known for its wines), they have a special ´fiesta´!
- October - Moors and Christians fighting it out, taking us back in time and reliving the reconquering of Spanish territory. Live plays with elaborate costumes, and of course, typical food and great wine with street stalls offering all the local products. Good buys!
- November - Like I said, they don´t need much to have a fiesta, and this month it´s thanks to the ….. are you ready….artichoke!
- December - The 6th and 8th are holidays so be careful if wanting to come around this time. Many Spaniards use this long weekend to go to the coast, and Benidorm is a popular spot. Here they celebrate the New Year with big parties in almost all the hotels and pubs, so make your reservations early.
