same colour and ask them the question in spanish.
6. Once they are confident about the colour pronunciation
Then include the name of the object and its indefinite article; una goma azul, un libro azul, una mesa azul.
7. Have them ask the other students about colours and in
the following class you do a warm up on the objects
and colours and include the ´have got´ in spanish – Yo tengo un libro azul.
8. To get a good feed back and practise for the students
I usually do a memory game, making sure that the children understand that even though it is a game, we all win because we are learning spanish.
9. Make sure that everyone participates and feels
comfortable. The results are very positive when there is a good feeling between the children and teacher.

How to assess and evaluate your spanish lesson

For beginners who are children, it is advisable to make sure they have a good command in speaking the complete lesson and then you can re-enforce the visual words with flash cards or doing a spelling bee contest. This is also fun with older children or adults but if we really want to see if each individual has learnt their spanish lesson well, then a written test is best.
