There are so many spanish language program to choose from so that everyone, from small school children to young adults, career people, teachers and even retired folks can participate. Just the fact of being in Spain gives you a big advantage to learn spanish over others who must learn it in their home country. So, once we have overcome the obstacle of where to study, we have a wide open fan of choices of spanish language course and program from the north Spain spanning out to both coasts until we reach the south. Let´s go over the options available, smart ideas and some suggestions.

Some spanish language course options.

There are basically two main options for spanish language course in spain:

1. Learn spanish at one of Spain´s leading universities like Salamanca or Malaga. This first alternative is quite interesting because between these two well-known universities and many others, there is a co-ordination and co-operation so that you can share your learning time between any two great Spanish cities. I can only think of advantages when participating in this total immersion spanish language program such as:

  • Being able to take place in and learn from the traditions and historical events surrounding two distinct cities and their neighbouring towns. Spain is choked full of cultural and religious festivities which are constantly being celebrated and which invite people to be an active part of them. This in itself is an incredible learning experience and lures you into personal contact with the local people, therefore giving you the unique opportunity to interchange personal opinions and comments directly with the native people.
  • Living among and having contact with more diversified people and their mannerisms and the way they express themselves in Spanish.
  • Living first hand experiences in trying all the gastronomical delicacies of each region especially the all famous paella recipe.

2. The second alternative is by just going to a regular language school in the Spanish city or cities you would just happen to choose or be in. In these circumstances, you are left more on your own as far as finding a good spanish language school and program and the type of classes which would be suitable for your needs and searching for good accommodations.

Either way you choose to do it, there are also extras such as excursions, going to the cinema, participating in Spanish forums, getting together to form chat groups and just the daily chores that would bring you in contact with all the people who must use Spanish to be able to communicate.
The most important fact that should predominate in our thoughts is to find the best value of teaching for your money when investing your time and energy in a spanish language course.
