How
to know which spanish course offers you the most. I did six years
of spanish course in my home country and I can assure you that with four
months in a spanish language course in a spanish speaking country, preferably
Spain, you will not only learn spanish language but other important aspects
that have a direct connection such as the living history you soak up
daily, the everyday conversation you participate in and the cultural
festivities.
If you are a student and can take the four or eight months to indulge in the spanish life, then go for it. Try and live with a family because even though you might feel that living with people you do not know could be an uncomfortable situation, it will teach you to have to communicate n spanish and to get along with other people. It is part of the learning process. If you are a teacher trying to better your knowledge of the language or a businessman wanting to get a better perspective of the spanish market, then with a 20 hour course, about two weeks for about 370 Euros or maybe at Christmas for four weeks at 600 Euros, you can reach your goal. Look for courses that have to do with your profession so that the course is geared toward it. make sure that the classes are small, about 4-8 students and that there is a lot of extra activities so that you can practise all that you are learning in the classroom situation. Another good idea is to split your four weeks stay, or four months stay and live in to distinct cities. Even though Spain is relatively small, the cultural habits in every aspect are very different and delightful to participate in. For younger children, there are spanish language camp that start at the end of June and go to the end of August. Many cultural activities and sports make learning spanish so much more enjoyable and they are in constant contact with native speakers. It is a 24 hour a day immersion course with workshops, contests and making new friends. A spanish language course and what to expect As far as the spanish lesson are concerned, there are always a short exam for proficiency to make sure you are starting out at the right level. There should be four main levels:
For your self evaluation on your progress, there should be weekly quizzes and certificates given out by the Spanish Board of Education when you have finished your magnificent spanish course.
