Alicante-Spain.com Newsletter No. 9 - 14. October 2005Current subscribers: 1406 Dear Alicante and Costa Blanca Fan, After many months you might not have heard from us, as due to some health issues in our family we had to stop working on the website. (At this stage thanks to all of you for the "get well soon mails" - it really helped.) Back to normal now - we did some changes and updates to the website. Some of it is still in the process, but within this newsletter we will keep you posted on where we did improvements. Table of contents: - Alicante-Spain.com Website upgrade - Who are we? The story of alicante-spain.com - Alicante Flight Page Updated - For those of you who own property around the Costa Blanca
Alicante-Spain.com Website Upgrade Within the next months we plan to rework parts of the alicante-spain website. As far as today, we added some pictures and information to the Javea Section here - with a photos and map of Javea page here. Behind the scene we are currently working on an article about Elche - the wonderful world capital of Palm Trees. We should have that article available by next months. Of concern to us is the increasing problems with our newsletter software (which we bought just in 2004). We are looking into a new host, as many people complained that they did not receive the newsletter.

For those of you who own property around the Costa Blanca Found a very good article about the Valencia Spain land grab law As aboutproperty.co.uk covers a very interesting aspect for valencian property owners. The article is titled "Tax loopholes warning" and covers the problem with the "not so famous" Valencia land grab law which allows developers to compulsorily purchase land from property owners at prices often below market value. A very informative article - aboutproperty.co.uk/locations/abroad/property-in-spain-tax-loophole-warning-$15063262.htm
All the best and Muchos Saludos from San Juan, Alicante,
