Update on the train from Alicante to Benidorm, Altea, Teulada, Denia, Calpe Thanks to some of your comments on our last newsletter, we added a detailed map of the train from Alicante to Calpe. The train leaves from the Alicante harbor area at "puerta del Mar" and leads its way up to all important towns along the Costa Blanca. (Altea, Denia, Calpe, Teulada) For the first part - from Alicante to EL Campello - you can take the new modern Alicante Streetcars. Starting from El Campello you need to switch to the "not so modern" narrow gauge railway. The journey is fun, if you take it from sightseeing point of view, as it leads you directly along the wonderful coast. I would not recommend it for your trip to your hotel and back. Please find the detailed train map here.
News on Flights to Alicante One important airline announcement concerning Alicante flights this months: Irish low-fares airline JetGreen that only began services last week, has stopped operations. Based on both news we updated our Alicante flights section at:
Forum Poll - Where do you plan to stay around the Costa Blanca? Please participate! In our Costa Blanca Forum, I set up a little poll, where I would like to ask you to participate. The simple question is: Where do you plan to stay around the Costa Blanca on your next visit? It would be great if many of you participate, so we get a better impression on which areas we should focus future developments of this web site. Therefore please have a short look here and let us know where you plan to stay around the area.
Pictures from a one day visit at Altea An update on the pictures and photos section has been done. Some pictures and photos of our last "one-day-visit" to Altea. Hope you enjoy the photos, as much as we did Altea.
Muchos Saludos from San Juan, Alicante, Hubert PS: Currently, 12:24 h, 23rd May 2004, 27°C sunny :)
