Alicante-Spain.com Newsletter No.5 - 9. April 2004Current subscribers: 657 Dear Alicante and Costa Blanca Fan, just about entering the easter weekend, we put together some news and hands-on information for your next Alicante trip or stay. Following the last newsletter we have to say many thanks for your response to our article on Alicante restaurants and the rather strange topic of cleaning up palm trees. This time we would like to focus on direct travel tips in our article on "How to get to Benidorm, Calpe, Altea and Denia". Allow me to say thanks to Brian Wearing for his latest on the narrow gauge railway and the C-6 bus from the airport. I updated our website accordingly here. In addition to some airline information on new direct routes to Alicante, we set up a tiny easter gift for all of you. We hope you will like the pictures. So have fun with this newsletter and join our forum with
your comments, questions and hints. Table of contents

Article: How to go from Alicante Airport to Altea, -Calpe, Denia or Benidorm? During the past weeks I received various questions about what's the best way to got to ???? from Alicante Airport. Instead of answering each email individually, please allow me to sum it up and refer you to the different sections on our website. From Alicante Airport to Benidorm Most
frequently asked question, obviously. Cheapest way is the direct
Alicante Airport to Benidorm Bus. Runs 4 time a day in each direction.
It leaves at Bus Station No. 29-30 at the Airport and goes directly
to Benidorm Bus station at Avenida Europa 8 From Alicante Airport to Altea, Denia or Calpe You have various options. The most expensive but fastest one is a taxi directly from the Airport. Current taxi fares are in between 70 to 90 Euros. (Just ask the driver before you make the trip). Alternatively
you can do quite a "nice" journey using
the
bus C-6 to downtown, changing to the Alicante Streetcar to later
on switch to the Narrow Railway Gauge. The total trip is
about 4 to 7 Euros depending on where you want to go, but it
can be a long journey.

A little Easter present - Photos from the beach Last weekend our family had a short one day trip to Benidorm to show some friends around. At this quite pleasant day I took some pictures of "sand building artists". Please take them as our little easter gift.
We wish you all a very happy easter and Muchos Saludos from San Juan, Alicante
