Thanks to all of you for the great response to our last newsletter and the new Alicante Forum. It certainly showed that there is a need for a dicussion on Costa Blanca topics. This issue of our newsletter features news from latest airline routes to Alicante, thanks to Helen Kyle and Wim Kuyps for news on flights from Scotland and Belgium respectively. In addition our main article this months is about our favourite Alicante restaurant. The place where my wife and I tend to go. We really hope you like the pictures. Ah, and not to forget - do you know how a palm tree is cleaned up? You do not know that palm trees need to be cleaned every once in a while, well I thought you might like our little off-topic article about palm trees. News on Flights to Alicante Some important airline announcements this months: Teesside to Alicante Direct Flights AerLingus to Alicante from Cork The airline Maersk Air offers new direct flights from Copenhagen to Alicante. The four times a week service will be starting 31st March. Air-Scotland and flyglobespan fly from Edingburgh and Glasgow to Alicante. We added our flights section accordingly. Jetonly and Thomascook fly direct from Alicante to Brussels, Liege and Ostend Bruges. With additional flights from thomascook to Rijsel, the connections from Belgium to Alicante have been expanded widely. Based on these news, we updated our Alicante flights section here
Our favourite Alicante Restaurant Being asked over the past several months on good restaurants in Alicante, I finally found time to go out for dinner with the camera and write a little about our favourite Alicante restaurant. No, it is not the only good Alicante restaurant, nor did we test many different once, but it is our favourite. The CASA Julio Restaurant at the beach of San Juan, north of Alicante is the place we go when we look for everything from a traditional paella or rice to not so typical steaks. How to clean a Palm Tree?
By the time a traveller visits the Costa Blanca, you normally see lots of beautiful palm trees around. You might not know, but these trees do not grow as clean as they might look to you. They need a lot of hard work, cutting and cleaning.
