Finding a Family Friendly Hotel at the Beach

Second part of Ron’s question about hotels in Alicante Benidorm or around the Costa Blanca… The other item is I know in one of your emails you talk about some of your favorite hotels in the area do you have any ideas about a place to stay in a more local type setting  on the beach ,smaller hotel/motel  we are a family of five and enjoy the local flavor.Our three teenagers are looking forward to Spain beach vacations as well as enjoying Alicante and the surrounding areas.

This question about a family friendly hotel in Alicante or surroundings is a quite common one. Ron, it is really tricky for me to give any good advice on hotels around the Costa Blanca, since we obviously do not need a hotel (as we are living here). However over the past years, running this website, we do get occasionally readers to recommend a certain hotel in a city along the Costa Blanca. We have collected these tips and listed those hotel recommendations for various cities on our site.

In your case, as you planning to go to Alicante, I would recommend the Melia Hotel in downtown Alicante. It is located in the perfect spot, just next to the harbor area and the main beach in Alicante. In addition my personal favorite (and this is because we are living in the suburb of San Juan) is the Sidi Hotel in San Juan de Alicante. To me this is one of the best hotels I have seen (obviously a bit more costly since it is a five star hotel).

Hotels around the Northern Costa Blanca

Altea Hotels List still a quite and charming town.
Denia hotels northern area of the costa. Great for all sorts of water-sports, especially surfing and kite.
Benidorm hotels the top city for Spanish and foreign tourists every summer. Lots of tourist attractions and parks. Big fun for kids.

Hotels Southern Costa Blanca and Costa Calida

Torrevieja hotels listing one of the top spots for tourists in summer.
Murcia recommended hotels list at the Costa Calida, interior. Beautiful city with an impressive cathedral.
La Manga del Mar Menor , at the Costa Calida, famous not only for golfing, but for the lagoon.
