You can either take a self guided or guided bicycle tour. These are available in several areas of the country. They are most popular in valleys, vineyards and coastal areas. Biking is a great way to experience the natural surroundings and the physical activity. Some tours combine bicycling and wine tasting for a truly unique experience.
Wine tasting tours are a great way to experience wine country. Each region of the country has its own specialty. Self driven and chauffeur driven tours are available. Tours vary in length, with shorter tours and tours of over a week available.
Chauffeur driven tours often include hotels, food, wine and cultural tours. Some include tours of historical and cultural sites in between visits to vineyards. Meals are generally included and you will have the opportunity to visit a variety of restaurants in the area.
When you book your tour, inquire about what is included in the price. You will be given an itinerary and should be given a breakdown of what costs are included and not included. In general, entertainment and activities listed on the itinerary are included in the tour.
Most tours will not include airfare. Some other charges that may not be included are fees not listed in the itinerary, phone charges, tops, travel insurance, airport taxes and additional excursions not included in the tour. Some meals and beverages may not be included on some tours. If all meals aren�t included, the ones that are will be listed on the itinerary.
