Local Farmers Markets in the Costa Blanca

Farmers markets are extremely popular in all major towns and cities from Benidorm, Calpe, Denia, down to Altea,  Alicante, Santa Pola and Torrevieja. In an age where organic is seen as a healthier and more environmentally friendly way to eat, more and more people are heading to their market at the weekends, rather than taking a trip down to the local supermarket. In Spain markets have always been popular way to shop for produce and other local goods, however they are not called farmers markets as such because of the different range of items that are sold there.
