To
the north of Alicante we start with a look at Gandia with
its Orange plants and sandy beach. You will also find a page
on the current Gandia
weather around the area.
Next to
Gandia lies Oliva, a smaller city within large fields is
one of the most known holiday resorts for locals. Due to
the mild Oliva
weather its perfect for a summer vacation
in Spain.
A little
bit further to the south in between Denia and Calpe, lies
the town of Teulada.
With excellent and sometimes very hot Teulada
weather conditions,
it is one of the area where tourisim has not yet destroyed
some of the old spanish flair. And if you are around the area,
you should see Moraira which lies just beside. Also with wonderful
Moraira
weather and temperatues, it is an inviting little town
which combines traditions and modern tourisim perfectly.
To the
south of Alicante, next to Torrevieja lies the town of Guardamar.
Famous for its dunes and nice Guardamar
weather, its natural
park attracts many visitors each year.
For those of you who visit the Costa Blanca area in the winter time, you should really visit Jijona famous for its turron and the Alicante nativity scene museum.
A little
bit away from the coastline just in between Alicante and
Murcia you will find the bishop city of Orihuela. With the
hot Orihuela
weather and tempratures above 40 C in summer,
certainly one of the most interesting cities from a sightseeing
point of view.
