How to travel to Marbella from other cities and towns

Being as Marbella airport has not yet been built, if you cannot have the best then go and find it. This was probably one of Christopher Columbus´ favourite sayings.

This is the case with wanting to land the nearest to Marbella and the best that is in the area is the well-known Malaga airport. Or, if we need more to choose from, we can also turn to the Gibraltar airport. Thanks to its loyal customers, which either fly to Malaga frequently for holidays or because they have chosen this idyllic location for an investment on a second home, Marbella is adequately served through this airport. Between these two alternative airports, other great cities such as Estepona, San Pedro de Alcantara, Fuengirola and Torremolinos are not left alone.

The airport Marbella, or should we say Malaga or Gibraltar, have maintained a high standard in far as services in and out of the airport. There are many combinations of cheap flights to all over the world and on arriving, you have all the necessary amenities at you beckon call. There are car hire, public transportation, hotel booking information and some good places to get something to eat. Even though these are not international airports, one would never realise it. And if we wish to start at another arrival airport, we can also choose from the Granada or Almeria ones.

How to travel from the Marbella airport to other cities and towns

Now, you might be asking yourself about how to do an airport transfer from Marbella airport. There are quite a few ways to do this. If we are in a hurry or have some extra bucks to blow, well then, just step outside the main terminal and look for the taxi stand. You will be able to enjoy the scenery and get situated as you converse with the very friendly taxi drivers. Well, Some do not speak English very well so if you have been lucky enough to have learned spanish, no sweat. And if not, just sit back and relax and listen to the spanish songs, flamenco style, of course, that the taxi driver will happily play for you.

If your stay is going to be a little longer and your have reserved a car hire, then after getting your luggage, go to the main lobby and pick up your car. If these are family vacations with a group of ten or more, then you can inform yourself about the mini-bus transfers that drop off all along the Malaga coast. Still not sure off how to do it? There is train from the airport to Marbella, but there coach going from the airport to marbella bus station. You can board the bus and pay then. And on returning by bus, pick up a bus schedule and either by the ticket in advance or trust your luck by arriving at the station about an hour beforehand. This service starts at around 5:30 a.m., costs a little over 4 euros and takes approximately 45 minutes. As you can see, your trip to Marbella will turn out perfect even though there is not a Marbella airport per se.
